 Course Description Contents 

The goal is to provide a solid curriculum of fundamental dermatology education for practitioners who already have considerable experience. The format will be that of short lectures, case presentations, and panel discussions, with particular emphasis on audience participation. For the last session, practitioners are encouraged to bring along their own cases and slides for discussion.

 Objectives Contents 

Upon completion of this course, you should be able to:

  1. Review practical dermatological problems and their management.
  2. Update family practitioners on new treatments for practical problems.
  3. Discuss alternative treatments for common problems, particularly those a family doctor may be asked about.

 Refund and Cancellation Policy Contents 

The Division of Continuing Medical Education reserves the right to cancel a course twenty (20) days prior to the course date. Each registrant will be notified by telephone, with written notification and a full refund following. The University of British Columbia is not responsible for any costs, including but not limited to airline or hotel penalties. If written notice of withdrawal and original income tax receipt is received before February 28, 2001, the registration fee will be refunded less a $50 handling charge. No refunds will be granted for withdrawal after this date.

ACCREDITATION: This program meets the accreditation criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been accredited for 11 MAINPRO-M1 credits. As an organization accredited to sponsor Continuing Medical Education for physicians by both the Committee on Accreditation of Canadian Medical Schools and the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education of the United States, the Division of Continuing Medical Education, UBC, designates this educational program as meeting the criteria of 11 Credit Hours in Category 1 of the Physician’s Recognition Award (PRA) of the American Medical Association (AMA) or any other organization that recognizes Category 1 credits. This event is approved as an accredited group learning activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
