           Abstract Submissions (654 bytes)

The Scientific Program Committee is accepting abstracts for poster, case and lecture presentations. Topics are open to all aspects of Hair Research. Abstracts will be reviewed by the Committee. The submission deadline is June 1, 1998. Notice of acceptance or rejection will be provided by August 14, 1998 through email. All correspondence will be addressed to the presenting author unless otherwise indicated. All abstracts should disclose primary findings and should not include promissory statements such as "experiments are in progress" or "results will be discussed." Registration is a condition of acceptance.

Case Presentations (525 bytes)

Fourteen cases of four minutes each will be selected. Highest priority to be given to the cases which illustrate the following:

  • New data on a recognized condition
  • Previously unreported condition
  • Correlation of animal model with human condition

Abstracts will be published for distribution at the meeting in the form and condition they are submitted in. Submission constitutes your consent to publication of the abstract. Proceedings will be published after the meeting.

Poster Presentations (614 bytes)

Posters presentations provide researchers and clinicians the opportunity to both present their basic research, technical advances, and case presentations and to exchange new ideas and information on a one-to-one basis within this complementary Conference forum. Dedicated time will be scheduled for the poster exhibit to enable delegates to view the information at their leisure and discuss the findings with the author. No fee will be charged for poster presentations, but acceptance is contingent on the attending authors being fully registered and paid delegates of the Conference.

Oral presentations provide researchers and clinicians the opportunity to both present their basic research, technical advances, and case presentations. Presentations will be given during the plenary sessions on Friday morning and Saturday afternoon. Each presentation will be allocated approximately 15 minutes, followed by 5 minutes for a question and answer session.

Registration brochure will be available in May 1998. Please contact the Conference Secretariat by fax or email to ensure you are on the mailing list.
  • All Posters will be presented on a 4' wide by 5' high posterboard
  • Presenters must confine their presentation to the surface of the board
  • Audiovisual equipment cannot be used
  • Posters must be set up by 4:00 pm,Thursday November 5th and cannot be dismantled until 6:00 pm, Saturday, November 7
  • Handouts are recommended but will not be reproduced by the Conference Secretariat
  • Posters must be presented in English
  • Posters must be of a non-commercial nature
